The Olde Thompson spice rack is a good design in that it's easy to access the spices and it has a small footprint.. The down side is that $50 is a high price for a rack that shows wear very quickly. One or two washings will take the names of the spices off the surface of the lid. The lid is very vulnerable to scratches. Now I have to figure out how to replace the spice names in an unobtrusive way.
Well made, attractive design, great value
We received an identical one as a gift and liked it so much that we have now purchased two more so far to give as housewarming gifts ourselves...and we may be buying another one soon for that purpose, too. It looks so nice that we leave it out on our kitchen counter most of the time. It is very well made and the price is extremely good, especially when you consider that it contains the spices as well as the rack. Visitors to our home have made favorable comments about it and the people who have received them as gifts say they love them.
